A new Quaker worship group for younger Friends is taking place regularly in London, and we want to spread the word.
These experimental sessions are rooted in Quakerism and centred around silent worship. They include a mixture of discussion and silent reflection. We also share food together, and spend time just chatting and getting to know each other. It is coordinated by two different young Quakers each week. Find out more about Quakers here.
We meet on Sunday evenings because it often suits younger people who may be unable to get to Meeting for Worship on a Sunday morning.
We hope to provide a space for people in their twenties and thirties to find spiritual nourishment and community through worshipping together, and connecting with people at a similar stage in life.
The sessions take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month, and run from 5.30pm to 8pm at Westminster Quaker Meeting House. The Meeting House has step-free access, and an accessible toilet. On months where there is a fifth Sunday, we have an ‘Adventure Meeting’, where we do something completely different! Please note this might involve leaving the Meeting House / not being in the Meeting House at all.
